11:26p Portfolio help!
Hello! I need a little help concerning portfolios when applying to a university with a stage management program. I'm seriously interested in applying to The Central School of Speech and Drama, but they ask for a portfolio. I've never actually had a SM class before. I'm currently in Santa Monica College listed a transfer student seeing as I was interested in transferring to UCLA before I heard about TCS. I've taken several theatre classes at SMC and I'm sure I'll be taking more and hopefully SM some shows at the school, but I don't know what a portfolio is supposed to have. I'm thinking maybe Lines Notes? I feel very stupid for not knowing especially since this is the profession I want to be in.
Also, I interned at a TINY theatre in Hollywood as an SM a few months back, but I actually never actually SMed a show. I did training and some rehearsals, but due to a family situation I had to back out. Should I still include this in my application?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

10:03a Resume addition?
Hey all... a few questions.
I had landed a SM internship with a new local theatre company. About five weeks in (and one week before load in), I literally just turned my head and managed to throw out my lower back for a day. The director said that unless I get a doctors note saying it was okay to continue, I must give up the internship. The doctor said it was fine if I wasn't experiencing any pain, but on the note he gave me to give her, it said "Do not lift more than 10 lbs.". Needless to say, I was pissed, and ended up losing my spot as intern, and have been "restricted" to front of house stuff when show opens this Thursday.
After speaking with the director, she said that if I were a rehearsal stage manager, my position would basically be ending anyhow (personally, I think she was trying to make me feel better).
My question is this: Do I / Can I still put that down on my theatre resume even though I didn't complete the internship? I did five weeks of paid work?
Also, would stage managing be put on my acting resume along with my acting credits?

2:13a cv question
I am putting together my SM CV and have sectioned it into Professional and Educational experience. Which of these categories does Summer Stock fall under? It was through my Univesity, yet It was a summer job and I was being paid to do it, rather than it being a training program???

I'm a very unhappy lady.
I'm absolutely in the red as far as money goes. I'm really unhappy at my jobs (except at the theatre).
Today I made the decision not to visit my grandparents again. I will skip family functions from now on. I am related to truely selfish and heartless motherfuckers and I cant be around them anymore while they act as though i'm too stupid to see how much they dont give a crap about me or any of my side of the family.
I dont want to do anything. I want to curl up in a ball and slide further and further into debt. I hope my head and my heart refrain from exploding for long enough for me to get out of debt and get the hell away from this godforsaken place.
I'm never having children. ever ever ever. I'm ending the cycle now.

Another silly question.
How do you get on the top bunks in the rooms? At orientation we had to climb on the dressers. Do they include little ladders when you're there? Or do you have to bring your own? I really want the top bunk and I'm a short thing, so I dunno if I could take get in and out of bed without a ladder. xD
